The Michigan Audiology Coalition was chartered in 2016 following the merger of the Michigan Academy of Audiology (MAA) with the previous Michigan Audiology Conference planning group. Prior to 2016, these organizations operated as separate corporations with distinct goals.
The coalition was first led by a sixteen-member transitional board until May 31, 2019 including leadership from MAA and the conference planning group. In 2019, seven of the board seats dissolved, leaving an 11-member board.
Today the coalition continues its mission to be the single organization representing and advocating for audiologists in Michigan. Our organization grows stronger with the help of volunteers dedicated to the same cause.
